The need for a chap tool was expressed to him by outfitter, Jerry Malson in Montana. It resulted in this ultimate horseman's tool. Dave start's with a 6" mill file. From this begining he makes a multi-purpose emergency tool which includes a serated rope cutting blade, hoof pick, leather awl, and last but not least a nail clinch file. 100% handmade, handstitched sheath.
